Some Kindle readers are unhappy with Amazon’s attempts to raise of the price of their ebooks.  Search Amazon for items tagged “9 99 Boycott“: as of this post, 770 Contributors have tagged 666 products in protest of Amazon charging more than $9.99. As one Kindle owner wrote in the Amazon forum:

I just saw the new Kindle $15.39 price on a “First Family” and ” 8th Confession” and I am shocked. If this is not a violation of the bait and switch laws I don’t know what is. Amazon baited us into buying the Kindle thinking dose of the mystery juice we crave would cost $9.99. Now they are attempting to raise the price. How much money can Patterson and his ghostwriters want? Has Balducci lost his mind? Or is this Amazon’s idea of a cruel joke? I am boycotting. That is what I am doing! Go to h….l Amazon!
